CAE Inc Annual Shareholders Meeting Transcript
[Interpreted] Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. My name is John Manley, Chair of CAE's Board of Directors. On behalf of the Board and CAE's management team, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2020 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
As you know, we took the initiative to move the meeting to a virtual format this year in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. At the end of our last fiscal year, the world and global economy was disrupted in a way that no one had anticipated. CAE's foremost priority, that is the safety and well-being of our employees, contractors, customers, communities, and stakeholders became even more crucial. Safety is one of the reasons we are conducting this meeting virtually via live webcast.
This format allows shareholders and appointed proxy holders, regardless of their geographic location, to attend, participate in real-time and vote at the meeting online through a web-based platform. Guests are also welcome to attend and listen to the meeting. The meeting will be conducted in both French
