At this time, I would like to turn the conference over to David Thomas, CEO. Please go ahead, sir.
Thank you, and good morning, everyone. Thanks for dialing in. As usual, I've got Jessica here with me. Today, as you know, we're giving our trading update for the period from the 1st of January to the 5th of May.
I think you can see that trading since the beginning of the year has been strong across all of the business. This is being driven by good consumer demand, and we're seeing a stable market backdrop. Our private sales rate is in line with strong comparatives from last year at 0.79. We have a good forward order book and a robust balance sheet.
We remain industry leading in terms of quality and service. And I'm very pleased to say that in March, we were awarded the HBF 5-star status for the 10th year in a row, the only major
