Good afternoon, and welcome to Canadian Western Bank's Annual Meeting of Common Shareholders. My name is Bob Phillips, and I am speaking to you from Vancouver, British Columbia. And I have the privilege to serve as the Chair of the Board of Directors of CWB.
CWB respectfully acknowledges that our head office is located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional gathering place for diverse indigenous peoples, including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Anishinaabe, Saulteaux, Inuit and many others whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community. As we continue on the path to reconciliation, land acknowledgments help to bring attention to the places we call home and how they have come to be over time.
