DS Smith PLC Annual Shareholders Meeting Transcript
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. And firstly, can I express my sincere wish that you're all and your families staying safe and healthy in these very troubled times. COVID-19 has had a profound effect on all our business and our personal lives. And this AGM is no different to many other events that have had to change over the last few months.
We felt that many of our shareholders, even if they were fit and healthy, would be very apprehensive about traveling into Central London for an AGM. And of course, we have the restriction on the number of people that can gather in public. So we felt it best to have a virtual AGM, whereby we can cover all the business, as long as the meeting is quorate, and that's what we have, and we'll be able to transact all the business.
Now we know from previous experience that many of our shareholders appreciate the presentation that our Chief Executive, Miles Roberts, gives every year on the strategy and performance of the business, and that's always received enthusiastically. As a consequence, when we sent out
