Cochlear Ltd Annual Shareholders Meeting Transcript
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 2021 Annual General Meeting of Cochlear Limited. I'm Alison Deans, the Chair of Cochlear, and it's my pleasure to welcome you to today's meeting. There are 76 shareholders online attending our virtual meeting. There being a quorum of members present, I now declare the meeting open.
I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians on the various lands on which we meet today and pay respects to all aboriginal elders, past and present, and acknowledge today's aboriginal communities who are the custodians of these lands.
Due to government restrictions on travel and gathering, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in Sydney, and the potential health risk to our shareholders of meeting physically during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board determined again to hold this year's Annual General Meeting virtually.
