Royal Gold Inc Celebrates its 40th Listing Anniversary and Rings the Nasdaq Opening Bell Transcript
Good morning, everyone. It is my great pleasure to welcome Royal Gold CEO, Bill Heissenbuttel, and the entire team as we get set to ring today's opening bell. We're excited to help you celebrate a major milestone, the company's 40th year listing anniversary on NASDAQ. This makes Royal Gold the oldest publicly traded royalty company still in business. Congratulations.
While the company's origins were in oil and gas exploration and production, today, Royal Gold is focused on acquiring and managing precious metal streams, royalties and similar production-based interest. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with offices in Canada and Switzerland, the company's streaming revenues come from mines across the entire world.
Since its listing on NASDAQ in 1981, the company's stock price has appreciated more than 4,500%, and Royal Gold is the only company in the GDX ETF that has paid an increasing dividend since the index was formed in 2006.
I'd also like to commend Royal Gold for its ESG practices, in particular, dedication to ethical and sustainable resource development. Bill, I
