National Bank of Canada at National Bank Financial Financial Services Conference Transcript
[Good morning] and welcome to all. This is the 17th year that we're doing this financial services conference in Montreal. It's the longest financial conference that we're doing here at the National Bank of Canada.
So the Canadian financial segment, like many of the industries, is constantly evolving. And we're very happy over the next few days to have about -- we have 20 companies that will be presenting. They have about -- they represent about 30% of all the market capitalization of the S&P Composite Index. So it's a very good representation [of the] industry.
It was -- obviously, there's been a lot of challenges in the industry. We saw recently the inverted yield curve. We keep hearing about the household debt that's very high and the macro credit that we produced because of so. So hopefully, after a few days, you'll get a better idea of how we probably tend to cope with all these challenges.
As for the format, as you can see, it's going to be pretty intimate. It's a small group than we're used to. But as for the format, like all the other years, it will be
