BB&T Corp at BancAnalysts Association of Boston Conference Transcript
Hi, good morning, everyone. And again, thank you for attending the event. I'd like to introduce one of the most respected finance executives in the industry, and this bio was not submitted by the company.
The current CFO of BB&T and the future CFO of Truist Financial Corp., Daryl Bible. He is joined by the Head of IR, Richard Baytosh. Daryl joined BB&T in 2008 after a 24-year career with U.S. Bancorp, the last 10 years as Treasurer. He became BB&T's CFO in 2009. Daryl began his career in the management development program at U.S. Bank's predecessor, Star Banc. I believe that Daryl should think about penning a biblical work about banking, and the first verse could be, "I told you so." Daryl warned us repeatedly of the pitfalls of current expected credit losses and that simple prayer wouldn't make it go away. Simply, we weren't aggressive enough in taking up the cause with FASB.
